Saraswati Puja

02 Feb 2025

At SBCA, we celebrate Saraswati Puja with great devotion, keeping alive the cultural essence of Bengal. This festival is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the symbol of wisdom, learning, and arts. For us, this day holds special importance as it marks the celebration of knowledge, creativity, and the pursuit of education. Families, students, and artists come together, dressed in traditional yellow attire, symbolizing prosperity and wisdom. Children often perform their “Hathe Khori” (first writing ritual) on this auspicious day, seeking the blessings of the Goddess for a bright academic future. At SBCA, we host the puja with full traditional rituals, followed by prasad distribution, cultural performances, and activities for children. It’s a beautiful day when the community unites in prayer, learning, and celebration.
Laxmi Puja

20 Oct 2025

At SBCA, we celebrate Laxmi Puja with deep devotion, reflecting the traditional Bengali way of seeking Goddess Laxmi’s blessings for prosperity, peace, and well-being. Observed after Durga Puja, this sacred festival holds a special place in Bengali households where Goddess Laxmi is worshipped as the goddess of wealth, fortune, and abundance. In Bengal, Laxmi Puja is commonly referred to as Kajigori Laxmi Puja, where families perform the rituals with simplicity yet profound faith. The earthen idol of the Goddess is worshipped at homes and community gatherings, accompanied by chanting of mantras, offering of fruits, sweets, and grains symbolizing prosperity. At SBCA, we conduct the puja with authentic rituals, encouraging families to participate and pray for happiness and prosperity. The puja is followed by prasad distribution and cultural gatherings, keeping alive the spirit of togetherness and gratitude.
